Plus 90s Prada now, board shorts sub $100, and the most darling silk chiffon one-shoulder top, stamped with a rearing horse

Until yesterday, the weather wasn’t supporting where I’m at spiritually (the desert on one hand, the beach on another), but I’m ready for a too-hot-for-clothes-but-still-wanna-wear-style, naked summer. As I expand the quest to look like I’m near a beach no matter the de facto setting: I was thinking: does a take on the caftan fit anywhere here?

Shop last week's story

Then yesterday I realized, it’s the only middle ground. If through recent summers’ past, it was cotton voile nightgowns that carried us, I’m betting on the beach caftan (obv styled manifold ways) for the summer that starts now.

Nieves Lavi caftan, Ancient Greek Sandals flip flops
Marisa Klass short necklace, and a long hanging scroll holder that will launch soon within my fine line for Aflalo, Ray-ban sunglasses. Currently circling these too.

Turns out all you have to do feel styled in one is get creative about how you wear jewelry (short necklace, long necklace and a play on colors). Like you don’t even have to try so hard (or at all) with shoes. Flip flops will suffice (but it’s def a bonus to have something wild around your ankle). And as has proven true for millennia: there’s an unbeatable chicness about Ray-ban’s 50mm wayfarer. In partic, I might add, as styled with diamonds.

The tennis drop — right this way. Kind of cool fashioned as a single too.

Another take on the same sentiment:

Nieves Lavi caftan, styled with a Staud raffia bucket hat, Hunting Season black satin clutch

Including a raffia bucket hat contrasted by the most dramatic earrings from my collab with Aflalo, the same play on jewelry (huge turquoise stone ring, wood link bracelet) and le flip flops.

I like the challenge of styling it for a night out too—

It’s here again with these jeans and old Khaite black wedge sandals. The diamond hoops are important!

But if it gets grey and cold again, it’s fully suited to hit the streets too —

Aflalo leather coat, Nieves Lavi caftan, knit flare pants, The Row ‘Emi’ clogs (Larroude makes these)
Jujuvera choker and hanging necklace, Ray-ban sunglasses

Unbelievably, I shot the above photo and wore it like this on Monday, just 5 days ago. I’ll call it the silver lining if summer decides to pull itself back again but I’m srsly hoping it doesn’t.

So

many

things

to

wear.

You know?

Meanwhile, do you use anything for your hair to make it thicker? I think postpartum hair loss has come for me (9 months later) and I am feeling shaggy. I’ve heard this hair oil is pretty good. I’m into the fact that it contains rosemary extract given that we (my whole family with the exception of Joelle) had lice TWICE this year, but any more recommendations as far as fortifying one’s mane are very welcome here.

Also, I came across 👇🏻this👇🏻Prada look from a 90s runway show and cannot unsee it.

Still ahead: 90s Prada recreated for now, summer going out-fits featuring tiny board shorts under $100 and more looks where those came from, featuring some one great Euro brand that puts beads on their dresses and sub $150 halter tops —
