Hi! My second collaboration with Soeur launched today. It features 8 pieces — a dress, a skirt, a logo tank and underwear (to be worn as pants), a polo, lightweight cotton pants, suede mary-janes and a silver pouch/bag.

You can see and shop the complete range here.

I just have like 3 (5) notes on the collection more broadly.

A behind the scenes iPhone photo taken by Danielle McKernan on shoot day a couple weeks ago. There were actual buckets of water descending from the sky but that did not stop us from finding a reason to omit pants in the public domain
  1. The sheer mini dress (named after my friend Claire, who exudes a kind of femininity I love to be around) looks great styled with the sheer mid length skirt (named after my friend Roxana, who is about the closest thing I have to a sister). I’d recommend styling a black or brown bra and high waist underwear under the look, but the logo underwear (named after my friend Krissy, who is more embodied than most people I know) and tank (named after Tippi, who is as thrilling to be around as her name would suggest) from the collection work too.

  2. The sheer dress is also really nice by itself.

Like maybe I prefer it this way. I wore a size 36 a few weeks ago when we shot at around ~16 weeks pregnant, so would say that sizing is pretty true.

So is the skirt, for what it’s worth. I don’t have a pic, but recommend styling it with a plain white tank and black flip flops.

  3. The thing you have to know about these two sheer pieces is that they both come with slips underneath them. The dress has a brown silk spaghetti strap thing in it and the skirt comes with a brown silk mini inside. Both these slips are perfectly adequate, perhaps even stronger-when-solo-solo pieces. I’ll show you what I mean:
