I launched a soft version of a website called Cafe Leandra today. It’s a more shopping-focused approach to style content on one hand and a more intuitive way to browse products on the other. (What I mean by this, basically, is instead of looking at things through the categories of like, shoes, bags, tops, or bottoms, at Cafe L items are categorized by occasions like going out to dinner or hanging at home, etc.) There’s also a category for kitchen/food (i.e. things to eat and vessels from which to eat) for the growing area of my own interest, evidenced by the frequent reference to and ultimate site titling of Cafe Leandra. It’s not actually a store — the site is powered by affiliate software. It’s also not meant to replace the newsletter, and while this wasn’t done deliberately but here is a good metaphor to explain the difference: Cafe Leandra is the market and The Cereal Aisle is one lane within the market. If you are happy with what this newsletter gives you, you don’t need to do anything differently! It will continue arriving at your inbox on Tuesday and Friday mornings.
The stories you read here will also be available to browse through the website, though, where they are better optimized to support the genre of story (this feature is still being updated, I will show you an example soon) and display the imagery and the products that are frequently mentioned on here. Have a look around and let me know what you think. To be perfectly honest, I still don’t know exactly what this site is, but I think that might be a good thing.
Next order of business: tomorrow from 4-7 p.m., I will be at Club Vintage selling some of my clothes. The address is 205 Front Street. I will definitely stop at the Tin Building while I’m down there and you are invited to come! To the Tin Building and Club Vintage. There will be snacks and wine for while you browse and my mom might come to help me/work as a shop-girl. A big chunk of proceeds will be, as always, donated to Win, the best women’s shelter in NYC.
An unrelated third note just to let you know I’ve been wearing these sunglasses at home for the past like, hour.
That’s it, see you soon! Hopefully very soon.

This is amazing. New favorite site!
Just a question - does this mean that the content we are currently subscribing to here will be provided for free on the cafe Leandra site? Apologies - I’m a bit confused!
