It is very true, from where I “see” you that you embody a very Latin-Mediterranean aesthetics and style work (like from south of Spain to Adriatic shores) more than culture there are genes activating this in you.
For instance in my case I sense something closer to orient or south hemisphere activating me.
More of a pull than of a push when seeking beauty.
I’ll read this thoroughly yet I’m compelled to hit comment too soon: this passage “Admittedly, overall, I have felt more like I fit in here than anywhere else — from the way that I look (big hair, olive skin), to the clothes that I wear (all the denim and gold). But also, I think, because through my own style, I pursue the rough edges that seem natural, like a given, to the style of the Milanese.”
