Im 5 months pp. stopped bf so never want to look at an other button down🫠none of my clothes from before fit my body or my life (except for pleats please) I thought i was prepared (and would not care bc it took me a long time to become a mom but it turns out i wasn’t 🤷🏻♀️😑).I really miss the pleasures of a great outfit. As an aside your posts from when u were pregnant helped me enjoy dresssing during pregnancy so thank you!
Ooooo what a special period you’re in — still learning a new way of life and lifestyle and once you find ground, I am certain that the clothes will make more sense. Tyeyll find their way to you. And I am here and happy to help however I can in the meantime
Becoming a mother is such a multilayered trip with so many sensations factored in. It’s so interesting to explore through the lens of personal style because the experience of becoming a mom necessarily affects so many aspects of your life, which also affects how you dress or think about getting dressed, etc. unsolicited comment, but one thing I realized when my girls were like 3 is that even though the title takes up so much real estate on the terrain of a woman’s identity, it is still just one among the roles that we play. The terrain is still the chunk of that has been there since the beginning of time.
Love this piece. The only babies I have right now are two baby pigeons resting outside my window where I do my work. I have struggled to get rid of the mom who returns to this roost (as they do to have her babies) and finally gave up. I mean, why not my ledge? The reason I'm a hero (tooting my own horn) is that pigeons revolt me but I have decided to work on it (and probs not for the greater good, as we know, NYC does not need even one single additional pigeon, although two noisy ass newbies are almost ready to go pooping on your stuff any moment now). More importantly, me and the babe pidgies loved Laura Vidrequin's post. She is tres cool and beautiful. Considering 15 wears before purchasing an item is a game changer for me and a great idea. Thank you for that and all the other wonderful ideas.
Loved this!! Please can we have one for postpartum?
Is that where you’re at currently? I recall wearing tons of button downs and feeling really cold all the time bc I gave birth in early March.
