This is, without question, the cilantro of shoes. You are either WAY in or WAY out and there is no middle ground.

Loved this read!!!! I have a question for you, I got these sandals from net a porter sale. What do you think of these? Do you think the straps are too wide and bulky looking?

Back: love the possibility too. Yet I think I love more what you write or how you dissect the vernacular of the shoe in this new era for women, more than anything else. I do remember when flats become a thing (mainly early 2000?!) and what a release from the obligation to build an outfit or to have to find the heels that could work across looks in a promptly way.

I’m still in awe with the idea that woman was made from the feet of La Que Sabe. Woman where made from woman. This is so cool and the idea is so embracing. Grounding.

To detangle who creates who in trends is such a challenge. I see what you see, but I also had this notion that trends are marked from the identification of certain ideas/movements happening in the real world, but now all things are so accelerated with social media interference, that I find trends to be saturating, even more ephemeral.

Real trends that create cultural movements come from the streets. Your sept2019 look is evidence.
