The last outfit!! And also the Prada coat - what a find

The trick I find with digital consignment shops is that you have to be specific enough to get fed a good range but open ended enough to surprise yourself with the find. "single breast prada coat" for example is what found that for me!

The term and vibe of refined maximalism reminds me of the vibe of minimal techo. Pairing down the loudness with minimalism and you are doing the opposite with adding edge to a minimal-ish outfit. Love pattern mixing and color blocking, you do it with such aplomb. The runway inspirations are also inspiring. That second look and Tory Burch are ones I will be recreating, most definitely.

Fashion should be positive and it's also lovely to see you inspired by people on the street as well. Those all black converse are perfect with that outfit.

Cheers to a new era. 💥

Adding that Fran Drescher getting a PHD in mysticism is going to be something I think about while getting dressed now. Thank you for that genius! 🔮👌

By now sometimes when I'm inputting jokes/comments related to the woowoo-adjacent, I can sense which ones you're going to catch. We should just start a tarot club, no?

I like to think I catch most of your jokes, though I think the ones that bring me the most joy are the woo woo-ey ones. I will add I totally understood your J.Crew email joke, not to humble brag or anything.

What's funny is that I have been phasing out of tarot and the woo woo a bit though I think maybe I did it for so long it is in my DNA, or pattern as a person. A pattern that maybe I do not need to correct? What will consist of this tarot club? I just recently realized that you are also not supposed to do your own readings, so I basically have broken all the rules so far.

I also got the TAR joke even though I decided to watch Alice, Darling instead. Need to watch that, thanks for the reminder.

Hey Leandra - loving all the looks. What do you take in the LMND poplin shirts - small or bigger? Got the small - my usual - but feeling like I maybe want this sliiiiightly bigger. Thanks!

I have smalls and mediums! The difference is pretty negligible but I do prefer the fit on the medium more overall. The one thing I’ll say is that they ride back more — like the shirt pulls down in the back. Does that make sense?

Hahaha yes I’m in a small right now and have been looking at the length in the back in the bathroom at work and hoping no one thinks I’m checking out my ass :) this is helpful. Thanks!

Yes and get the riding in the back - I kinda like it

How you dress can say so much about you, it can be a political statement, or maybe a comment on society. I love how you deconstruct the industry. It reminds me of the saying "the personal is political". I have thought about adding a street fashion blog of my own style to my sub stack, it would be a very different look and idea from what you have done.

I love the pictures on the street!

What a treasure this is to read! Every outfit gave me something new to think about and work with. I have a request that is 1) born of overthinking and 2) out of season; but I wonder what 5-10 pieces of clothing you’d advise packing for a 2 week summer trip to Japan (less Tokyo, more countryside), where the priority is feeling like myself (or how I want to feel: chill, modern, classic - thanks Tibi! - and luminous) but appropriate for the setting and weather? I feel like there is some secret combo or outfit formula that would fit the brief but I haven’t been able to crack the code! Should I just bring 5 midi dresses, a lightweight cardigan, slim white sneakers, delicate flat sandals, and silk socks?

Hi! What a fun challenge to think about it. I think I’d go with 2-3 pairs of reliable pants (1 jeans, 1 trousers, 1 cotton pair), a few tissue turtlenecks, some solid color t-shirts (long and short sleeve) to style over them with the socks and flat sandals and a pair of ballet flats if it was me but slim white sneakers do the same thing. Then a belt or two, and maybe one pair of metallic heel sandals for if you want to dress up a bit

And it sounds like you wear a lot of dresses, so maybe interchange 1 of the pants for a skirt and add a dress?

Red vest look early on is just a big giant winner. Also, I love it when you wear cowboy boots...
