Thank you for this. And for all that you give us. I just made a major life change that felt, and still feels, terrifying and sometimes wrong, and is made heavier by the fact that I’m 47 and and and...
Your newsletter today has picked me up well and truly. ‘Life begets death begets life and on’. Just brilliant. Thank you x
It’s not easy to find authentic content that gets your mind going these days. And we are living in a content stuffed world! I jumped on the Cereal Aisle train recently and I ENJOY spending the time I don’t have to read your goodness. Thank you.
What a lovely and honest post to read today. I am 6 days out from shoulder surgery and today my husband, daughter and I said goodbye to our dear sweet 13+ year old labradoodle. Life, death, rebirth; the cycle continues. Thank you Leandra for sharing deep and universal life experiences.
I look forward to your writing and often read, mark unread, then read again to make sure I'm not missing one brilliant reference or poignant observation. I came here for the unmatched style, but wow, the writing. I too am often brought to tears. Thank you.
Dear Leandra!!! Reading your newsletters is the best way to learn English (beyond styling tips, of course!). I’m so glad that you decided to continue, to be honest, to keep sharing. Thank you❤️
Thank you for this post and for the courage to share your feelings about MR and starting over. Who knows, may be it was a blessing in disguise, so many medias died and even Conde is struggling these days. Happy to be here and follow your journey !
Tears sprang to my eyes when i read “You are such a loser.” I know that feeling AND I think “even you feel that way?!” I loved Man Repeller and your style in a way that gave me permission to be myself. And now, with this the Cereal Aisle on substack, i feel it’s just an evolved version of you and reference for me. Thank you for always being vulnerable and for reminding all of us we’re soft and gushy and all seeking joy and stuffies. ❤️
I will never forget a message you sent me on Instagram shortly after my closing man repeller, I’m not even sure if you remember it. You shared a bit about your own past and history and “the great specter that hung over your writing” for a bit. Something about that exchanged always stayed with me - I think it was the resolve to not be silenced. Thank you for that ❤️
I do not subscribe to the CA just for the fashion tips and inspo which are unparalleled and hilarious and brilliant, beautiful too. I subscribe for the depth, philosphy and life umami. The shared experience of our human existence. If I wear my new brown corduroys while reading it, all the better. xo PS. My son took his "softie" to college.
There is something really literary but also really authentic about this, the lists, the truths. Thank you for trusting us with this vulnerable stuff.
Incredible. This brought me to tears. I’ve grown with you since MR, death and rebirth for all these years. Thank you for being a constant.
Retweet! ❤️❤️❤️❤️
Just here to say thank you for keeping going.
reliably the best thing in my inbox - and not just for the clothes. Thanks for sharing your authentic voice.
