I almost sold them! But something about the acidic gold made me not

How was the trip?!

The timing was unfortunate in the end (given the war) -- it was hard to really be anywhere. But the place was absolutely stunning.

I was just in New York doing some creative work and also doing some street photography. I love the photos you post, they are so New York, and have a look and feel you can only get there!

Wish I knew! How was your trip.

My trip was great...except almost getting stuck in Albany due to the floods! (Amtrak) I screened my documentary in Rockland County at two places (ROCA was one) Nyack is a cute town.

I did a whole lot of black and white street photography! The fashion was fun to look at as well, and I got some giant oversized street sunglasses, who doesn't like those?

I’m going to Switzerland next week for the pure purpose of tourism and SO excited to embody the energy and spirit of being a benevolent and excited stranger away from home that’s so clear in your trip recap

Reading this, I couldn’t help thinking of the Hollywood actor Van Johnson who always wore red socks!

Hi Leandra,

I reached out by email, realizing just now it’s probably not the best way! You probably won't remember this, about 10 years ago we met for a potential job at Man Repeller. At the time, I had just moved back to Paris from New York and was pitching you to work on international expansion and local collaborations. I had a couple of thoughts I wanted to share with you. Let me know what would be the best way?

Speak soon, I hope!

Cosima

I really don’t want to do another comment listing favourite looks. Love this ❤️. Yet a question: range or gamut of reds. That miuccia finale look is the souplesse touch... like your Rosie gold caftan 🧡

The right question!! When I was linking up the concluding collage and referrred to the ballerinas as “brick red” I was like wow I left out a crucial technical element, which is what kind of red is the right kind? Overall, I like a deep bright red, like with an almost blue hue to it to counter neutral colors. When it’s a full red look, maybe you want to go a little darker, though not as dark as burgundy. That is kind of it’s own color

And for accessories, that true deep red is best for bag and there’s a bit more flexibility for shoes bc of all the finish options

Indeed the fine line of hues in red makes more difference to me than in other colours. Red can significantly change a shape or texture or light. The other day was trying the chucks Taylor high top in the regular red. And had this perception way to much red canvas.

Just to clarify I love the red accent of the chucks high tops. But in low size numbers. 😬

Ooo I think I know what you mean — like the red stripe around or the star right.? I love it too on the ivory ones

Yes that too. But do you know when you see a certain thing and you think: this colour matches the shape or this colour doesn’t. It is a lot about that. Certain things don’t make “sense” in certain colours or fabrics. It is a correlation of consensual aspects.
