Recently I have started to think that the reason people get addicted to the high from shopping is because of the rare occasion when one is actually to find a thing that genuinely makes them think differently about the existing contents of their wardrobes.
I couldn't agree more. I rediscovered my 70s childhood love of what we in the UK refer to as "tank tops" last a/w with solid black and navy striped incarnations. I find that they extend my shirt / blouse collection to become winter wear, and can be layered under a jacket to make it warm sans coat. This, I tell myself is eco, both in the sense of getting more out of what I already own, and not having to put the heating on yet. But, basically, I'm here for the arch preppiness and wit with a pussy bow.
