Less interested in the skirts as I am in the boots but I think the skirts are par for the course with the boots? Either way, I’m finding myself less committed to a former idea that long skirts are not for me (reminder of strict dress code at Yeshiva day school)
As a former Yeshiva day student myself, I have a hard time with long skirts as well. I find them very appealing, but I can't figure out how to style them in a way that looks and feels different from my high school self.Really curious how you see this and would love to learn more about styling them.
I love this perspective, and think it’s right! Pants are so personal, they really do have to support you in ways that aren’t as confronting as with other types of garments and probably also require that you accept yourself as you are — wtvr size, however “off trend” etc
Love the Batsheva bow skirt- I too have trouble styling longer skirts. Would a black boot be too heavy w this skirt? And what colors would you rec for the deep red?
No I think it would actually look great w a black boot! And I’d probably pair with a tomato red sweater if I was feeling electric and something light blue if I was trying to channel the color palette Daniel Lee preferred when he was at Celine (if this last point makes no sense to you, Daniel lee, who has been but recently left designing Bottega Veneta worked under phoebe philo at Celine before then and really spearheaded the pre collections — resort and pre fall — where there were often bits of light blue and reddish brown or burgundy which was always …yum!
I'm sick of all my jeans department! I want to set fire to them and get rid of my jean OCD. I basically waste 30 years of my lifetime with them. Why is it so hard not to choose them daily basis?
P.S I'm dying to find a hat like this, where is it from?
Love the systems you come up with for putting outfits together-thanks! BTW, hats...I can't seem to find the summer tan/brown crochet hair you have in a few posts. Thinking of summer while it rains in LA.
Please say more about mid-length skirts with boots. I find this very challenging and am not sure why. Thank you. XxxxxPeaches
