Oh yes. I have a shimmery vintage Chaiken on the way that was $33. And then I began searching for the brand online because I didn’t know much about it. I searched by category to women’s raincoats with the keyword “lightweight” and found a treasure trove. Might order one more in a sheer bronze color just for fun.
When I was pregnant (and now looking back) I kept thinking of the biology of this newly forming person inside with his/her needs and wants manifesting in how I felt and wanted to express myself. (Most obvious, Blueberries. Never liked them before, never since…but my oldest loves them. Cause or Effect?) I wonder if in someone so creative (in your soul and genes) it is totally amplified.
Did you find that any of what your baby has taught you started coming out while you were pregnant? I’m so aware that Madeline and Laura have been teaching me how to be softer since the very beginning and it started in utero. And for this pregnancy I’m feeling like one central learning is around how to stay with myself/in my own experience. Had a whole preamble written here that ultimately, I didn’t publish about it
Absolutely. And so much of what I chalked up to just general baby-ness is decided personality that carries forward into their (nearly) adult life. It’s crazy!!
Outfit inspiration and motivation while pregnant is one of the toughest parts for me. I never feel like myself! Praise God for drawstring pants and accessories. Bookmarking this for the next baby!
I think deep genuine human connection is central to living a meaningful life and have definitely become more aware of which connections feel soulful in the way I crave and which are more like fillers. And how my own connection to self gets caught up in it sometimes too.
Endlessly, boundlessly CHIC….you kill me!🥰
Now you have me doing a fun little search online for a lightweight trench coat. SO many good outfit ideas.
Did you find anything cool??
